Ponnam Prabhakar

Sri. Ponnam Prabhakar is a stalwart in Indian politics, whose name is synonymous with dedicated public service and visionary leadership. Born on 8th May 1967 in Karimnagar, Telangana, Ponnam Prabhakar’s journey from a humble background to becoming the Minister of Transport and BC Welfare is a result of his unwavering commitment towards societal welfare.

His leadership qualities were personified in his academic pursuits. Sri. Ponnam Prabhakar did his schooling at Government High School in Dhangarwadi, then graduated with a Bachelor of Arts [B.A.] from SRR Government Degree College in Karimnagar. He later went on to complete his LLB from Osmania University, Hyderabad in 1996. It was in these formative years that his vision of advocacy for education and welfare in the marginalised communities came to the fore.
